BOOKINGS
IRATA Course bookings are only confirmed, once full payment of course fees has been received.
Positions are limited on all courses and cannot be reserved.
If an invoice is issued for a course, your position on that course is not confirmed until full payment of course fees has been received. Full payment is due at least one week prior to the commencement of the course.
Candidates have 6 months to redeem a course booking.
*Complimentary RTO Accredited course is available upon full payment of a 5th Point IRATA course (Sydney only). Please note that the RTO Accredited course is a separate syllabus and additional one-day course, separate to the IRATA course. You have 60 days from the date of your IRATA assessment to claim this free course. RTO Accredited courses are offered frequently throughout the year. PRE-REQUISITES
All course candidates must be a minimum age of 18 years, and have an aptitude for working at heights.
The IRATA course fees include 4 days of training plus one assessment day (5 days in total).
All candidates are required to sign a medical declaration form for Courses, as they can be quite physically demanding. All information disclosed on these forms is kept private and is not available to the public.
All candidates wishing to re-validate IRATA qualifications must attend four days of training before they can sit the assessment and meet all IRATA training pre-requisites.
All IRATA course candidates who train in Sydney have 60 days from date of IRATA Assessment to redeem a free RTO Accredited course. This course is non-transferable, nor is it deductable from the course fees of an IRATA Course. It’s free for those who need it.
LOGBOOKS
Effective 15th July 2024 – Revalidating Level 1 IRATA technicians who have misplaced their logbook will now be able to request a replacement logbook at the time of training through the IRATA training member company (TMC). Therefore, revalidating level 1 IRATA technicians will be permitted to sit their IRATA training and assessment without prior presentation of their logbook but must meet the requirements above for ordering a replacement.
IRATA Level 2 and 3 technicians must meet the below logbook criteria – Your IRATA logbook MUST:
- Be presented to the IRATA Instructor on the first day of training for review
- Be up-to-date with all completed hours and signed off
- Have sufficient hours logged for technicians wishing to upgrade
- Be presented to the IRATA Assessor on Assessment Day
Failure to present a correctly filled-out IRATA Logbook (IRATA Level 2 & 3 ONLY) for upgrades and re-validations will result in the inability to sit the Assessment and the full course fee will be forfeited.
ASSESSMENT
If a candidate fails the assessment, candidates are welcome to come back on the next course with available space and receive as many days extra training as required for free and undertake the assessment. The only cost will be $700.00 AUD for the re-assessment.
- Candidates have 60 days to attend their re-assessment.
- After 60 days, candidates are required to attend four days of training prior to sitting their re-assessment.
- Over 6 months from the date of original assessment, candidates are required to pay all four days of additional training prior to sitting their re-assessment.
In cases of extreme hardship or medical conditions, please contact 5th Point.
If the Instructor or the candidate think that assessment should not be undertaken, candidates can come back on the next available course with space and receive as many days extra training as required and undertake the assessment for no extra cost. NB. This offer is only valid once per course undertaken. Any further date changes to assessment re-bookings will incur the $700.00 AUD re-assessment fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations made in writing with more than 14 days’ notice prior to the commencement of their scheduled IRATA Course are eligible for a full course refund or they can transfer to an alternative course for free. This offer is available for the first transfer only. Any additional transfers will incur a $300 administration fee.
Cancellations made in writing less than 14 days’ notice prior to the commencement of their scheduled IRATA Course are non-refundable but candidates can transfer to an alternative course date at the cost of $500.00.
If unable to provide 7 days’ notice in writing prior to the commencement of the scheduled IRATA Course, management will retain a 50% of the course fee and may transfer the remainder of the course fees to another suitable date at their discretion.
Note: refunds will not be provided, except in circumstances of extreme hardship.
If you fail to show up at the commencement of your scheduled IRATA Course, you will not be provided with a refund and all course fees will be forfeited.
Failure to attend the four full days (30 hours) of mandatory IRATA training will result in inability to sit the assessment per the IRATA TACS requirements.

COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are unable to attend your IRATA Training due to contracting Covid-19, please contact 5th Point management immediately. Please email training@5thpoint.com.au your positive PCR test result confirmation from Service NSW. Or, if you have taken a RAT test, once you have registered your result with Service NSW, please email 5th Point the registration confirmation. Failure to do so, may result in forfeiture of your course fees.

The RTO courses we facilitate are: Work safely at Heights RIIWHS204E; Enter and Work in Confined Spaces RIIWHS292E & Provide First Aid HLTAID011.

We encourage candidates who identify that they may have concerns regarding their language, literacy or numeracy capabilities, or who identify that they may have concerns understanding course content due to English being their second language, to contact 5th Point directly for more information about the support services we offer.
RTO CANCELLATION POLICY
If you are unable to provide a minimum of 7 days’ notice in writing, management will retain the full course fee and may only transfer your course fee in circumstances of illness (upon presentation of a current medical certificate). All other transfers will incur a fee of $100.
Failure to provide a minimum of 7 days’ notice in writing for complimentary nationally accredited courses (IRATA Course Candidates only), will result in forfeiture of that course.
Failure to attend your scheduled training course will result in 5th Point retaining the full course fees.
Candidates have 6 months to redeem a course booking.

Prospective candidate withdraws from the course (without providing 7 days’ notice) due to illness (medical certificate must be provided) or extreme hardship and 5th Point Management agree to exercise discretion.
GWO TRAINING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

GWO Basic Safety Training Course bookings are only confirmed, once full payment of course fees has been received.
Positions are limited on all courses and cannot be reserved.
If an invoice is issued for a course, your position on that course is not confirmed until full payment of course fees has been received.
Candidates have 6 months to redeem a course booking.
PRE-REQUISITES
Al candidates will need to register and obtain a WINDA technician number prior to attending the course.
All candidates are required to read and sign a medical declaration form for GWO courses, prior to commencing training declaring their fitness and ability to perform certain physically demanding elements.. All information disclosed on these forms is kept private and is not available to the public.
ASSESSMENT
Candidates will be assessed using a combination of the following methods:
- Theory/Written Assessment (e.g. Short Answer Questions, Multiple Choice, Verbal Questioning Interview)
- Direct Observation/Practical Assessment (e.g. Workplace, Simulated Environment, Role Play/Scenario)
GWO CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations made in writing with more than 7 days’ notice prior to the commencement of their scheduled GWO Course are eligible for a full course refund or they can transfer to an alternative course for free. This offer is available for the first transfer only. Any additional transfers will incur a $300 administration fee.
Cancellations made in writing less than 7 days’ notice prior to the commencement of their scheduled GWO course will be entitled to a 50% refund of the course fees paid and may transfer the remainder of the course fees to another suitable date at their discretion.
If you fail to show up at the commencement of your scheduled GWO Course, you will not be provided with a refund.
Failure to attend the full course will result in the inability to be assessed.
Candidates have 6 months to redeem a course booking.

NON-ACCREDITED TRAINING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS
Course bookings for Height Safety Systems Inspection and Certification course are only confirmed once full payment of course fees has been received.
Positions are limited on all courses and cannot be reserved.
If an invoice is issued for a course, your position on that course is not confirmed until full payment of course fees has been received. Full payment is due at least one week prior to the commencement of the course.
Candidates have 6 months to redeem a course booking.
PRE-REQUISITES
All course candidates must hold a current Work Safely at Heights qualification (Height Safety System Inspection and Certification candidates only).

Artificial High Directional (AHD) Course
Cancellations made in writing with more than 14 days’ notice prior to the commencement of this course are eligible for a full course refund. Cancellations made in writing with less than 14 days’ notice prior to the commencement of this course are non-refundable.
In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled by 5th Point, then all fees will be refunded in full or at your rescheduled at your request.
IOSH Course
Cancellations made in writing with more than 14 days’ notice prior to the commencement of this Course are eligible for a full course refund. Cancellations made in writing less than 14 days’ notice prior to the commencement of this Course are non-refundable.
In the event that a course is cancelled by High Q UK, then all fees will be refunded in full or at your request.
